Summer break prices for some of the favorite summer destinations, including Turkey, Cyprus, and Spain, have risen drastically in 2025. TravelSupermarket’s newest figures reveal high annual price rises for all-inclusive seven-day family breaks to the popular resorts. The price to go to the sunny resorts during the month of August 2025 has made families rethink where they would prefer to go during the holiday period and re-evaluate spending.
According to figures gathered by TravelSupermarket, the price of the typical family holiday to Cyprus during August has gone up by 23%, from £950 in 2024 to £1,166 per person in 2025. Turkey has also experienced a considerable increase in price, from £874 in 2024 to £1,003 per individual for the family break this year. The greatest spike in cost, however, is in the UAE, where prices have gone up by 26%, from £1,210 to £1,525.
Spain and Turkey Lead the Way in Cost Increases
Within the top five, Spain is one of the favourite options for families wanting a warm break in the sun, but the price of a seven-day family break there has increased, too. For 2025, a four-strong family will now pay around £1,038 for an all-inclusive break, from £914 in 2024. Just as in the case of the others in the top five, the same pattern of rising costs for breaks has been observed for Greece and for Portugal.
In disregard for the high prices, families remain interested in securing holidays, though with a shift in mindset noted by tour agents. Short breaks are now more desired by holidaymakers, some choosing to secure mid-week breaks or make last minute bookings in order to acquire cheaper prices.
Travel agents report some clients altering the stay duration, yet others will indulge in more premium offerings, purchasing business and first class flights along with upgraded all-inclusives. Advantage Travel Partnership’s chief executive Julia Lo Bue-Said adds that holidaymakers are still spending money, in specific longer-haul flights to cities like Dubai.
